The predictability in the rule of law has been described as fundamental to a smoothly functioning marketplace. In a report by the WND News Center provided to MHProNews are indications of a possible start of a legal counter that millions of supporters of deposed President Donald J. Trump are yearning to see. Left-leaning Politico said that one of the surprising results of the indictments are the Trump’s approval among Republicans and Independents has risen. Following the indictments brought by Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis, Business Insider, Breitbart, and the New York Post all report there are now 91 counts that ex-President Trump faces, with a total of over 700 possible years in prison if convicted. Following the report from WND, Part II of today’s report will provide additional insights from the New York Post, plus additional information with more MHProNews analysis and commentary on what could be a similar plan deployed against the Biden family, including White House Resident Joe Biden.

The Georgia Legislature could investigate and possibly impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who this week secured a grand jury’s racketeering indictment against former President Donald Trump and allies who helped Trump challenge the outcome of the presidential election in Georgia.

State Sen. Colton Moore, a Republican, said Willis engaged in “political persecution” of Trump and asked Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, to call a special legislative session to begin an investigation. Willis is an elected Democrat.

“As a Georgia state senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis.  America is under attack,” Moore tweeted. “I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents.”

The Hill reported that Moore also wants to investigate Willis’ conduct because of poor conditions in the Fulton County Jail brought to light by the left-leaning American Civil Liberties Union, as well as what was considered the controversial prosecution of rapper Young Thug.

“The Legislature has this great check and balance when it comes to controlling the purse. Ultimately, from what I’ve seen, I think she should completely be defunded of any state dollars,” Moore told The Hill. “People in northwest Georgia and Georgians all over don’t want their tax dollars going to fund this type of political persecution.”

Moore added of Willis: “If it turns out that she’s doing some corrupt things, then absolutely impeach her.”

Named as co-conspirators with Trump in the Fulton County racketeering indictment are former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and lawyers John Eastman and Sidney Powell as well as other former Trump attorneys.

Part II. Additional Information with More MHProNews Analysis and Commentary

Many states have a dozen or more legal districts, each led by a state or district attorney (DA).  Those districts then have numerous attorneys working in each of those district offices. For example, Florida has 20 judicial circuits. Brian Haas is the State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, including Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties. Per their website: “Mr. Haas has 90 attorneys working for him as Assistant State Attorneys in his five offices throughout the circuit.” Put differently, there could be several Republican (a.k.a. Grand Old Party or GOP) efforts akin to what Fulton County DA Fani Willis (D), or what New York City’s Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg (D) have launched.  It is part of what has been called lawfare.

The possibility that some GOP linked DA might do what Democratic DAs Willis and Bragg have done has been floated by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (KY-R).

According to the New York Post on 4.5.2023: “At least two local GOP prosecutors are looking at ways to charge President Biden and his family amid Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed Wednesday.”

“I had two calls yesterday, one from a county attorney in Kentucky and one from a county attorney in Tennessee,” Comer (R-Ky.) told “Fox & Friends.” “They were Republican, obviously, both states are heavily Republican. They want to know if there are ways they can go after the Bidens now.”

“You can be sure that there are prosecutors across Florida and Texas right now who are looking for a state law hook into the Biden family,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. “And if they’re not, they’re not doing their jobs.”

Mike Davis, a former chief counsel for nominations on the Senate Judiciary Committee and president of the Article III Project, floated legal theories for possible prosecutions.

“I think our Republican AGs and DAs should get creative,” Davis said. “You just need probable cause. A grand jury can indict a ham sandwich.”

According to the New York Post, Davis pointed to Hunter and James Biden’s partnership with CEFC China Energy in 2017 and 2018, which allegedly involved Joe Biden, as potential grounds for charges.

An October 2017 email from first son Hunter Biden’s laptop identified Joe Biden as a participant in a call about Chinese energy company CEFC’s attempt to purchase US natural gas. That effort was described as having apparent corporate links to both Louisiana and Texas.

Possible Action Option for Trump Supporters?

Industry pros who live in a district with a Republican DA that are disturbed by the constitutionally questioned and apparently politically motivated charges against Trump, while the growing evidence of actual crimes seem to point to the Biden family, without any comparable criminal charges, should note these developments. DA’s could be contacted directly or GOP state reps could be contacted with the request that criminal referrals be made.
