There are tragically over half-a-million homeless in the United States tonight, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
There are an estimated 111 million living in rental housing, said the Apartment List earlier in 2019.
The economy has generated so much demand for workers that there are about 7 million jobs that are waiting to be filled.
Affordable housing is a crisis in every state in the Union.
Conventional construction is rising.
Manufactured housing communities are at or near capacity in numerous markets.
That all reads like a no-brainer recipe for manufactured housing success, doesn’t it?
But for reasons we’ve covered numbers of times, that is clearly not the case. Manufactured home demand, production, and shipments have actually declined since the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) inaccurately proclaimed in late 2018 that the industry had ‘momentum,’ even as the Wisconsin Housing Alliance’s Amy Bliss, who routinely attends MHI meetings said in an interview that she feared an industry downturn.
