For over a year, there were increasing questions about what Chairman Warren Buffett was up to with the $128 billion dollar cash pile hoarded by Berkshire Hathaway a year ago. Where would that cash be deployed? In 2020, the aging Buffett-led Berkshire began to shed airline stocks as the pandemic or “plandemic” developed in 2020.
More recently, Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway began investing in the pharmaceuticals industry, sometimes referred to collectively as Big Pharma. At the same time, in the era of more limited travel, Buffett shed airline stocks.

Agree or not, Buffett himself says he thinks long term. He preaches the “castle and moat” – durable competitive advantages. Buffett says he wants to have sharks, piranhas, gators or whatever he can throw into the moat to make it difficult for his competitors.
Take that seriously.
Beyond capital, there are perhaps few things more impactful than the COVID19 related restrictions, the lack of peace, law and order in certain parts of the country, and the power that can be deployed by controlling or influencing the levers of government.
How to respond to the array of threats by Buffett, Bill Gates, and his fellow billionaires assault on our industry and American life?
