Disturbing Trend of Two Very Different Views of America, Understanding Why

There are not many adults who doubt that America is highly divided today.

It’s not a coincidence.

This week’s Masthead looked at an insightful quote from former President Barack Obama. Per the Hill, “Former President Obama said in an interview that Fox News viewers and NPR listeners are living on different planets in terms of what news they consume.

If you watch Fox News, you are living on a different planet than you are if you, you know, listen to NPR,” Obama told David Letterman…The former president was referring to how the Russians were able to “exploit” different kinds of U.S. voters, who were “operating in completely different universes.

This evening’s Daily Business News report takes a different look than the Masthead did earlier today, the link to that report, is below.

The Masthead

Former President Barack Obama recently said something relevant to the nation. But it was particularly and profoundly insightful to manufactured housing professionals. According to the Hill, ” Former President Obama said in an interview that Fox News viewers and NPR listeners are living on different planets in terms of what news they consume.

Here, we look at a video with Ben Shapiro.

Shapiro is the editor of the Daily Wire. In under 5 minutes, he “explains the world’s largest mass propaganda machine.”

Imagine a group so powerful they could beam ideas directly into your head. Well, you don’t have to imagine — it’s Hollywood,” per the video’s producer.

MHProNews has looked at this troubling issue through a variety of perspectives and reports.  We’ve done so for years, including the first spotlight of how smart phones are being used to influence millions of Americans, when news is flashed at those who open their phone.

Is Apple iPhone latest News Update an Effort to Influence 2016 Election?

While it is more pronounced among Millennials, it happens across the demographic, ethnic and other groups.

Facts simply are.  Mature adults have to learn how to spot propaganda and the tools of manipulation.

Whining about the problem solves nothing.

It will require sustained engagement in reality for this issue to be changed.

There are only two kinds of experience, your own and someone else’s experience. The fastest way to grow is to rely on successful experiences from others, and leverage their knowledge applied to your location.

This is a serious issue for manufactured housing, which is widely misunderstood.  Our industry’s professionals need to engage with reality where it is lacking, and then learn how to communicate reality more with others.
