3,158 Manufactured Homes Shipped in January 2010, Down 17.4 Percent from January 2009

Arlington, VA, March 11, 2010-The Manufactured Housing Institute’s actual shipments report indicates that 3,158 new HUD-Code homes were shipped in January 2010, down 17.4 percent from January 2009. Shipments of single-section homes were down 28.7 percent, year over year, while shipments of multi-section homes were down 8.8 percent.

Lead, Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule Takes Effect In April

On April 22, 2010, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Lead, Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule will be effective. It can viewed at www.epa.gov/lead/pubs/renovation.htm.
