U.S. Stocks Nudge Up; Housing Stocks Mixed

Although U.S. stocks began the day rising and diving, the day ended with all three indexes managing a meager gain as investors continued to worry about the EU summit. CNNMoney tells us the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained +32.01 points, +0.26%, to close at 12,534.267. The Nasdaq rose +0.63 percent to 2,854.06, while the S&P gained +0.48 percent to 1,319.19. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite rose +1.62 percent to close at 1,018.1. Housing stocks we track closed mixed, or even. Louisiana Pacific Corp. gained the most of stocks we follow, adding +2.93%, +0.30, to close at 10.55. Nobility Homes dropped the most of tracked stocks, losing -1.69%, -0.1099, to end the trading day at 6.39. Affiliated Managers Group 102.78 +1.72 (+0.51%). Cavco Industries 46.92 +0.89 (+1.93%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 121,114 +414.00 (+0.36%). Champion, Liberty Homes, Deer Valley, and Palm Harbor all remained unchanged. Drew Industries 26.52 -0.12 (-0.45%). Equity Lifestyle Properties remained unchanged at 66.29.
