Skyline Rises, Patrick Falls; Dow, Nasdaq, S&P End Week Up

Investors took a break at the end of a strong week and a most bountiful year on Wall Street as all three major indexes slid a quarter of a point or less. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged down -1.47 points, -0.01 percent, to close at 16,478.41. The Nasdaq lost -0.25 percent, -10.59 points, to finish at 4156.59, while the S&P edged down -0.62 points, -0.03 percent, to end the day at 1,841.40. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite gained +0.59 percent to close at 781.6. Housing stocks we track in today’s trading closed mixed or even, although Skyline Corp. advanced 2.72 percent, gaining +0.134 points, to close at 5.05. Patrick Industries dropped the most of tracked stocks, -4.70 percent, -1.43, to close at 29.01. Affiliated Managers Group 214.88 +0.10 (+0.05%). Cavco Industries 69.40 -0.20 (-0.29%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 177,160 +260.00 (+0.15%). Deer Valley remained unchanged at 0.65. Drew Industries 51.11 +0.32 (+0.63%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 35.89 -0.05 (-0.14%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 0.68.
