Skyline Corp. Tops Advances Second Consecutive Day

Investors, plowing through corporate returns and responding to turmoil in emerging markets settling down, moved the three major indexes into the plus column as the Dow advanced nearly 100 points. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 90.68 points, +0.57 percent, to end the day at 15,928.56. The Nasdaq moved up +0.35 percent, +14.35 points, to finish at 4,097.96, while the S&P gained +10.94 points, +0.61 percent, to end the day at 1,792.50. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite lost -2.00 percent to close at 706.8. Most all housing stocks we track in today’s trading closed up or even, with Skyline Corp. advancing the most, +4.92 percent, +0.29, to end the day at 6.19. Third Avenue Value Fund (Jan. 27) fell the most of tracked housing stocks, losing -0.68 percent, -0.38, to close at 55.28. Affiliated Managers Group 196.25 -0.41 (-0.18%). Cavco Industries 75.37 +2.01 (+2.74%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 169,212 +1001.00 (+0.60%). Deer Valley remained unchanged at 0.75. Drew Industries 49.39 +0.72 (+1.48%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 38.10 +1.40 (+3.81%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 0.75. Louisiana Pacific Industries 17.68 +0.24 (+1.38%). Nobility Homes remained unchanged at 9.20. Patrick Industries 35.20 +1.04 (+3.06%). Sun Communities, Inc. 44.68 +0.43 (+0.97%). UMH Properties, Inc. 9.26 -0.02 (-0.22%). Universal Forest Products, Inc. 52.32 +1.82 (+3.60%).
