Louisiana Pacific Gains, Nobility Falls, Three Major Indexes Drop

All three major indexes fell in today’s trading as investors continued to express concerns over corporate earnings. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell -175.99 points during the day, -1.07 percent to close at 16,197.35. The Nasdaq dropped -24.13 points, -0.57 percent, to end at 4,218.87, while the S&P ended the day down -0.89 percent, -16.4 points to 1828.46. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite Value moved up +1.23 percent to close at 772.1. Housing stocks we track closed mixed in today’s trading, or remained even, but Louisiana Pacific Corp. gained +3.30 percent, +0.58, to close at 18.17, while Nobility Homes dropped -7.54 percent, -0.75, to end the day at 9.20. Affiliated Managers Group 208.32 -3.68 (-1.74%). Cavco Industries Inc. 76.95 +1.96 (+2.61%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance and other MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 1720,310 -2,585. (-1.50%). Deer Valley was unchanged at 0.75. Drew Industries 51.51 -0.05 (-0.10%). Equity Lifestyle Properties 37.56 +0.45 (+1.21%). Liberty Homes remained at 0.75. Patrick Industries 35.21 +0.95 (+2.76%). Skyline Corp. 5.83 +0.08 (+1.39%). Sun Communities 44.52 -0.80 (-1.77%). Third Avenue Value Fund 56.90 (Jan.23) -0.34 (-0.59% ). UMH Properties 9.44 +0.02 (+0.21%).
