“Girls of Steel,” 3 Untold Stories of Job Creation, Growing Opportunities for MHVille

GirlsOfSteel3UntoldStoriesJobcreationMIllionsNewOpportunitiesMHVilleWhiteHouseDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews-575x302

These three stories of actual Americans are the ones that don’t normally make the evening news.

These three stories in the video below are ones that can make a significant difference to all housing professionals, but particularly to manufactured home professionals.

We’ll set aside for the next few moments the question of why these stories aren’t headline news on all major networks, that can be better understood in some of the related reports, linked further below.

But for the next few minutes, consider some facts that the Daily Business News on MHProNews alone consistently reported in MHVille.

There are stories of significant-to-huge opportunities, when one listens carefully to all the details to discussions on existing laws, and current policies.  This is not pie in the sky, someday, maybe – but current realities, under this new administration.

In the video below, for example, we hear that there are already 3,900 Opportunity Zones between the 50 states.  Odds are good that one or more are near you and your business.

This jobs initiative that Ivanka Trump, Larry Kudlow, three “working class” people on this video and President Donald J. Trump discuss is reality.  This jobs private sector via White House leadership initiative isn’t a theory, it’s a reality.

Are You Connected to or Invested in the Sales of Manufactured Homes?

If you are in any way connected to the sales of manufactured homes, this video and report are important news for you.

Why?

Because typically someone on unemployment, or some other form of welfare or public assistance have a difficult time qualifying for the purchase of housing.

There are systemic problems that the federal government has failed to properly address for over 15 years.  Bipartisan efforts in the mid-1990s gave the U.S. a balanced budget, and a surplus.  It was one of the crowning achievements of the otherwise partisan rancor of the President Bill Clinton(D)-Speaker Newt Gingrich (GA-R) era.

It was also during that era that the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act was passed. There was bipartisan efforts between Democrats and Republicans.  There was also a reach-across-the-aisle between the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) and the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI), and key business and state association leadership. That topic will be studied in the near term, perhaps after the midterms.  So now, let’s turn back to the White House press release on jobs that follows.

Over 100 companies have committed to this job creating program.

The first roughly 15 minutes of this White House video includes all three of the workers in the featured image, shown at the top.  The “Girls of Steel” is just one of several initiative programs that have launched with no, zero, zippo taxpayer cost.

Keep in mind that more people working, means less money spent on public assistance programs for the unemployed or those in poverty.  Programs like the enterprise zones and initiatives like those discussed will create more jobs, so there will be less unemployed. Last night’s jobs numbers reflects a trend that if properly understood, addresses one of several long-term systemic problems that has gone unaddressed for too many years.  ICYMI, see last night’s report, later for more details.

If you:

  • listen and watch the working man and the two women in this video,
  • have a mind and a heart,
  • you will be moved, and impressed.

The White House is using the bully pulpit – plus good policies – to engage businesses in ways that are creating literally millions of job opportunities.

Some may have heard a sound bite on a network where President Trump’s economic adviser, Larry Kudlow says that “This is the blue-collar, middle-class Trump Economy.” That part of the discussion starts at about 16 minutes, and runs to about the 17.30 mark.

Frankly, almost every minute of this is packed with information that is useful, will be surprising to some, and will be eye-opening, practical, and even inspiring to others.

The president has some powerful points, but we will mention only one, before sharing the White House’s full press release to the Daily Business News.

We were letting our country go to hell,” said President Trump under both parties, “…in so many ways, and we can’t do that” any more going forward.

If an open minded, but anti-Trump person watches and reads this, it will at a minimum cause that person to sit back and ask, how could this not be front page news?  How could announcements like this one below not be a lead story on evening newscasts?

The White House statement to MHProNews follows.  Feel free to fact check it, to convince yourself or others, because we don’t publish information on MHProNews that we deem to be inaccurate. The Oval Office statement will be followed by some closing thoughts.

‘This is the blue-collar, middle-class Trump Economy’

As Larry Kudlow sat with President Donald J. Trump and Ivanka Trump in the White House State Dining Room, he revealed a telling fact about the new American economy under the Trump Administration.

“We are looking at blue-collar wage increases [that] are rising faster than white-collars,” said Kudlow, Director of President Trump’s National Economic Council. “Now, I’m not against white collars, but I’m saying this is the blue-collar, middle-class Trump Economy”—one where manufacturing and other industries that fuel prosperity in America’s heartland are thriving once again.

In the past, that wasn’t always the case. Too often, economic growth would concentrate in the hands of a wealthy few rather than lift up all American workers.

Just over three months ago, President Trump made it clear that his Administration wouldn’t let that happen during this economic boom. In July, he unveiled his Pledge to America’s Workers, calling on private companies and associations to expand programs that educate, train, and reskill Americans from high-school age to near-retirement.

Ivanka Trump has helped lead the charge, traveling to more than 14 states to visit job centers and technical education programs across America. She was also instrumental in helping shepherd the Perkins Career and Technical Education Act through Congress this summer, marking the program’s first modernization in more than a decade. Perkins CTE authorizes more than $1 billion in vocational and career-focused education funding for more than 11 million American students.

Since July, more than 160 companies have answered the President’s call to invest in career-development opportunities for our workforce. This summer, Walmart pledged 1,000,000 such opportunities. IBM pledged 100,000. FedEx pledged more than 500,000. And today, President Trump announced that the total number of commitments under the Pledge now exceeds 6 million in just over 3 months.

“The previous Administration said there won’t be any more manufacturing jobs—you’re going to need a magic wand and all of that,” President Trump said today. “Well, we had the magic wand, because we have almost 600,000 manufacturing jobs since the election. And it’s going to go much, much higher than that.”

Answering the pledge: More than 6 MILLION opportunities committed

The other thing that hasn’t been seen much in the mainstream news coverage about this administration compared to prior ones are stories like the one below  The White House held a Halloween event.  An unbiased media would normally cover such matters, so why is so little of it taking place during this administration?

Closing Thoughts on the Meaning for MHVille of this News Item

The following is a comment from a widely known personality in MHVille, who has deep ties to MHI. It’s important food for thought.

The news today has a real illness.  There’s few facts printed.  Mostly what you see is opinion sanctimoniously delivered as fact.  Most of our national media produce stories designed to solicit a response of being appalled by someone’s or some group’s behavior.  With many, mostly on the Left, you can’t even have a civil discussion about a topic.  People likely agree more on certain topics than they do on ultimately conclusions.  For example, are you for reasonable fiscal management?  Most would say yes, but then many would vote for a politician promising unsustainable spending.” – from a mid-sized company owner, only one typo was corrected, the rest is verbatim.

The first video above near the end addressed the issue of spending, after the length discussion of jobs.  There are so many problems that faced the U.S.A., it is difficult to describe them all, but for the moment, let’s say foreign and domestic policy alike were suffering for decades.

Some conservative Republicans feared President Trump, thinking he was liberal, and not a real conservative. Democrats feared him, because they thought he could bridge the gaps between the GOP and some of the groups that Democrats depend upon, like labor and minorities.  Both were right, and wrong.

It’s nonsense to say that President Trump is racist, or other similar and numerous slanderous allegations tossed his way.  Repeating a falsehood doesn’t make it true.  There are too many examples of African Americans, Latinos and other minorities that have known the president for years.  They don’t think he’s a racist. So why do such claims persist?

The Daily Business News pivoted from doing ‘straight’ news to doing news and commentary, that’s the responsible and candid thing to do. Each story is labeled as news, analysis, and commentary. That’s the proper disclosure, that much of the mainstream media lacks.

The related reports below indicate in depth how media could be so weaponized, but it could be boiled down to human nature and money.  Those talking heads are paid to say things.  Actors and actresses read lines, and that describes much – though not all – of the mainstream media.

Stifel Investments

Stifel Investments today tied violate stocks to the midterms.

Former CBS News award winner Sharyl Attkisson went independent, because during the Obama era she tried to report on stories that the network would not dive into. She talks about “the smear,” how the media can use character assassination, spin, mislead or false information.

Not every mainstream media story is ‘fake news.’  But some are. Often, what occurs is a mix of accurate information that may be taken out of context and weaponized.

That reminds us of what Brad Lovin said about how the media treats manufactured housing.

The industry has good reasons to vote for candidate that support this president. It makes no sense to vote for candidates that will support the agenda that is creating more jobs, lowering taxes and regulations, and bringing back hundreds of billions of dollars into the U.S.

In less than 2 years, there’s been substantial progress. But the supporters of ‘the left’ fear that measurable progress.  Many policies they believe in have been proven to be false, in less than 2 years.  Manufacturing and other jobs are returning. Wages – it was reported yesterday – are rising at the fastest pace in a decade.

It’s about the return to common sense.

2 years ago, MHProNews projected – based upon a close reading of mainstream polling – how then candidate Trump could win.  The same is true for the midterms. Our publisher has deliberately allowed numerous pollsters to go through their full spiel during this election cycle. “Many polls are subtly designed to push a respondent in a specific direction. After over a dozen polls, some pollsters will hang up, if you give them the ‘wrong’ answer.  Many of these polls are designed to manipulate opinions, not survey them,” said L. A. ‘Tony’ Kovach.

In Florida and several other states, voting by party registration shows Republican ballots are ahead by thousands of votes.  A one of those independent voters, we’re encouraging industry professionals to use their common sense, and avoid emotional and other manipulation.

Manufactured housing professionals should – more than many other professions – recognize that news gets spun, because that has happened to our industry for years.

Elections come down each and every time to turn out and actual votes.  The House is harder to measure, but as many as 10 seats in the Senate could be Republican pickups once balloting next Tuesday, November 6 is complete. That’s what we see, based on numerous indicators we track.  In the House, it could go Democratic by a few seats.  But it could also be a hold of the majority — or even a pickup of a few GOP seats.
