Destinations, Manufactured Homes, the Manufactured Housing Industry, and 2018

ScienceWorldFallCreekBCCanadaManufacturedHousingIndustryUSDestinationDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews575In the final analysis, manufactured home industry professionals want their business, location, and/or website to become a good destination.

Once a place on-or-off-line becomes a destination, the next obvious goal ought to be to create an encounter that does one of two things.

1) Draw people back (no sane professional should have a ‘once and never again’ goal for the normal visitor).

2) And/or a location on-or-off-line that encourages and attracts the visitor to do business or otherwise engage with a hopefully informed and ethical professional(s).

Partially with that in mind, there are types of articles that industry-leading MHLivingNews and MHProNews has published for years, geared to facilitate those goals of visitor attraction and retention.

Third-party statistics demonstrate the ongoing success of those years of pro-MH industry efforts.

Literal and figurative “Attraction articles” have proven to be popular with many readers/visitors/viewers. Some ‘enter’ the website at one of those pages, and then discover manufactured homes and manufactured home living in a completely different way than they may have previously imagined.

To rephrase, that process of attracting visitors who then discover the truth about manufactured homes from a pro-consumer, pro-industry perspective are a win for the industry, help raise the profile of home owners – which are good for their values – and good for businesses.

Among the ways MHLivingNews has directly tapped into attraction articles has been with a periodic series generically called “U.S. Destinations,” with the specific locale as part of the name of that article.  Some examples of those U.S. Destination articles are linked below.  These reflect a slow evolution of their own, and spotlight some different styles used in crafting those articles.

Note, that they may have no direct connection to manufactured homes.  It’s not necessary for the purpose or goal of these articles.

See Superman! – Metropolis, IL – US Destination – manufacturedhomelivingnews.com

book and movie fans know, the saga is set in a place called Metropolis. The actual town called Metropolis is located near the Ohio River, in southern Illinois’ Massac County. The Wall Vietnam War Memorial, Washington DC – US Destinations – manufacturedhomelivingnews.com

The Wall was controversial as was the war itself, but the Vietnam Veterans memorial is a powerful image that draws millions of visitors each year to Washington, DC. In fact, replicas of The Wall now travel the country, and can be seen as part of other exhibitions.

The end-game for this series has always been to have manufactured home industry professionals provide some of that “U.S. Destinations” content – which could easily include Canadian content.  As with any business, there are some test projects that get less attention and time, but that are later revived and energized.  That’s what this re-launch of the Destinations articles aims to accomplish.

For a modest fee, MHLivingNews is going to accept in 2018 articles about U.S. or Canadian Destinations.  There will be a great deal of liberty in crafting those articles.  Manufactured homes ought to be more in the background, but can be adroitly mentioned.  For example, you can do more travel and fun when your housing costs less.

Every writer would get a by line and an up to 75 word bio, that links back to the website of their choice.
