MHCV Outpaces the Dow, Most Manufactured Housing Stocks Advance

stock_report_May_18In the news: China is the biggest holder of U. S. debt, kids do better in school if they leave their smartphones at home, Netflix shares hit $600, and American Pharoah will likely earn much more for stud fees than for winning races.

Meanwhile, the Yahoo Manufactured Housing Composite Value (MHCV) gained +1.86 percent, to close at 678.5. Most manufactured housing stocks we cover closedup or even in today’s trading. Louisiana Pacific gained more than other stocks we follow, +2.75 percent, while Sun Communities fell more than other tracked stocks, -0.64 percent.

On the Big Board:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average nudges up +0.14 percent, +26.32 points, to close at 18,298.88.

The NASDAQ moved up +0.60 percent, +30.15 points, to close at 5,078.44.

The S&P 500 also gained, +0.30 percent, +6.47 points, to end at 2,129.20.
