Twin Coach Estates must Wait for Community to become Co-op

Following a story MHProNews.com last posted March 31, 2014 regarding Twin Coach Estates manufactured housing community (MHC) in Lakeville, Massachusetts, southcoasttoday.com reports the residents will have to wait until next month to complete their cooperative purchase of the community. Lakeville is tied up in the estate of the late Wayne Williams and his ownership of Edgeway Mobile Home Park in Middleboro, MA a longtime drainage and septic-troubled MHC that became more troubling when Williams died in 2006. Under care of attorney James Burke, the purchase and sales agreement stipulates the properties must be sold simultaneously. While the residents of Twin Coach are prepared to take ownership, Edgeway still must have their takeover approved by the planning and zoning commission, and their rent control agreement is still not defined. Closing is now expected in May. Out of 64 homesites within Twin Coach, reportedly only six residents did not sign on to the co-op/homeowners association. ##.
