Three Major Indexes Gain; Tracked Housing Stocks Move Little

Corporate returns among several high tech stocks pushed the S&P to an all new high, and the Dow and Nasdaq ended the week gaining about one percent each. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced +61.07 points, +0.39 percent, to end the day at 15,570.28. The Nasdaq gained +0.37 percent, +14.40 points to end today’s session at 3,943.36, while the S&P moved up 0.44 percent, +7.70 points, to close at 1,759.77. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite gained 0.93 percent to close at 923. Housing stocks we track in today’s trading closed mixed or even. Skyline Corp. edged up the most of tracked stocks, +1.83 percent, +0.08, to finish at 4.45. Patrick Industries fell the most of stocks we follow, -1.48 percent, -0.48, to finish at 32.00. Affiliated Managers Group 202.54 +1.22 (+0.61%). Cavco Industries, Inc. 60.46 -0.44 (-0.72%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 175,435 +414.00 (+0.24%). Drew Industries, Inc. 50.99 -0.54 (-1.05%). Deer Valley remained unchanged at 0.65. Equity LifeStyle Properties 38.64 +0.34 (+0.89%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 0.60. Louisiana Pacific Corp. remained unmoved at 17.91. Nobility Homes remained steady at 9.30. Sun Communities, Inc. 45.67 -0.03 (-0.07%). Third Avenue Value Fund (Oct. 24) 58.24 -0.38 (-0.65%). UMH Properties remained unchanged at 10.41, and Universal Forest Products Inc. stayed at 51.08.
