Stratford England the Site of Modular Apartment Complex

Renting out at 80 percent of market value as part of the government’s affordable housing program, architectural firm Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners has received approval to build 36 two-bedroom modular apartments in Stratford, England. Consisting of two modules each, the units will be assembled around a core containing two elevators and a stairway. The method of construction allows for internal and external wall panels to be easily replaced should they become damaged; and the project can be completed within six months. Rogers Stirk is a world-renown firm whose recent notable projects include Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five and the British Museum, according to The company has also agreed to provide 14 three-bedroom modular apartments to a nearby property by March 2017, as has learned. ##
