Skyline Rises 3.26%; Dow Falls, Nasdaq and S&P Nudge up

Investors, nervous about the future of the economy, split the three major indexes plus and minus. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 44.12 points during the day, -0.27 percent to close at 16,414.44. The Nasdaq gained 28.18 points, +0.67 percent, to end at 4,225.76, while the S&P ended the day up +0.28 percent, +5.1 points to 1843.80. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite Value lost -2.73 percent to close at 755.20. Most housing stocks we track gained ground in today’s trading, Skyline Corp. advancing the most, +3.26 percent, +0.18, closing at 5.70. Cavco Industries, Inc. slipped the most of tracked stocks, -1.15%, -0.84, to end at 72.57. Affiliated Managers Group 210.96 -1.01 (-0.48%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance and other MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 172,500.00 +150.00 (+0.09%). Deer Valley was unchanged at 0.75. Drew Industries 51.23 +0.37 (+0.73%). Equity Lifestyle Properties 36.95 +0.30 (+0.82%). Liberty Homes remained at 0.75. Louisiana Pacific 17.32 +0.02 (+0.17%).
