Sexual Harassment, and the Manufactured Housing Workplace, Two Short Videos

So, that means that what’s happening in other industries, is also taking place in MH Industry workplaces, in locations from border to border.

Harassment suits are known to create serious problems for a company, or organization.

Sexual Harassment, Workplace Poll, Congress, President Sound Off – MH Industry Impact?

One reader – a woman – emailed the following comment, “I really believe that weak people are more likely to succumb to sexual harassment because they don’t stand up for themselves.” She then gave some examples of workplace issues she encountered, and how she successfully countered them.

As input from manufactured housing industry readers has started coming in on the sexual harassment in the workplace issue, a common-sense request to the Daily Business News has been: where are the boundaries in the workplace? What is and isn’t sexual harassment?

This can be particularly useful for those companies which may not have an HR department, or where professional associations may not do so.

He Said, She Said by Media Partners is “designed to help employees evaluate their own conduct as it relates to sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior at work. Seven interactive scenarios use riveting performances and twisting plot lines to subtly challenge employees’ beliefs and perceptions,” the video release said.

The next video is designed to look “old,” but is not. It also uses ‘course’ language, so if you’re watching where young ear are, you might want to wait on this one.

The second video is also a ‘spoof’ – a satire – but it makes its points quite well, using adult humor.

There is so much that tens of millions of Americans, and our industry, have to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. There are also so many threats, scandals, and possible disruptions of our society, industry, and the world, that this Thanksgiving ought to be a time for knee-mail, vs. email.
