NYC Modular Apartments Will Take First Tenants in June

In a story MHProNews last covered May 19, 2014 regarding the opening of the modular The Stack, the 28-unit apartment building in the Inwood section of New York City, we have learned the 56 modules were made by DeLuxe Building Systems in Pennsylvania and trucked to the site. The units will be outfitted with high-performance aluminum windows, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen with Corian countertops and maple cabinetry, bathrooms with mosaic tile floors and WaterSense fixtures. Flooring is colored concrete or wood, according to multihousingnews.com.

A post MHProNews published April 16, 2014 from therealdeal.com reports a contest will be held to determine eligibility for renting at reduced rates at The Stack. The winners of the competition, who are to be chosen by the end of May, 2014, will be able to rent a one-bedroom apartment for $909 per month, or a two-bedroom unit for $1,060. The status of that competition could not be immediately determined. ##
