Many Tracked Housing Stocks Post Three-digit Gain

While both the Dow and the S&P are up 15 percent on the year, the Dow finished lower for the fifth straight day while the S&P broke a four-day losing streak. The NASDAQ has gained 19 percent on the year. In today’s session, CNNMoney reports the Dow lost -7.75 points, -0.05 percent, to close at 15,002.99. The Nasdaq moved up +0.68 percent, +24.50 points to end the day at 3,613.59, while the S&P gained +0.38 percent, +6.29 points, to close at 1,652.35. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite advanced +1.99 percent to end today’s session at 934.9. All housing stocks we follow (except one) closed up or even, with Skyline Corp. posting the largest gain, +5.86 percent, +0.26, to end the day at 4.70. Third Avenue Value Fund (Aug. 19) was the only stock we track that lost today, as it fell -0.73 percent, -0.41, to end at 55.77. Affiliated Managers Group 177.11 +2.33 (+1.33%). Deer Valley remained unchanged at 0.59. Drew Industries, Inc. 43.20 +0.74 (+1.74%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 35.06 +0.86 (+2.51%). Louisiana Pacific Industries 15.36 +0.26 (+1.74%). Liberty Homes remained steady at 0.60. Nobility Homes 8.50 +0.05 (+0.59%). Palm Harbor Homes remained unchanged. Patrick Industries 24.98 +0.39 (+1.58%). Sun Communities, Inc. 42.95 +0.81 (+1.92%). UMH Properties, Inc. 9.72 +0.37 (+3.96%). Universal Forest Products, Inc. 39.43 +1.16 (+3.02%).
