Updating a story MHProNews posted Sept. 3 regarding the increase in production of manufactured homes for July, 2014 over the previous July, the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) adds that 8,554 floors were shipped in July, an increase of 14.6 percent over July 2013. The seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of shipments was 72,019 in July 2014, up 19 percent from the adjusted rate of 60,506 in June 2014. SAAR adjusts for normal seasonal variations, and projects annual shipments based on the current monthly total. The number of facilities reporting production remained at 123, and the number of active corporations held steady at 46, both the same as for June 2014. ##
