Inspire Acquires Manufactured Housing Community in Louisiana

Manufactured housing community (MHC) owner Inspire Communities of Gold River, California has acquired Quail Ridge Estates of Lake Charles, Louisiana. An all-age community, Quail Ridge was 89 percent occupied at the time of acquisition in Q4, 2013, and has 373 home sites set on 82 acres and features several recreational amenities. As MHProNews reported Dec. 25, 2013, a South African company, Sasol Ltd., will build a large petrochemical facility in the Lake Charles area offering thousands of new jobs. The Port of Lake Charles recently broke ground on a $70 million modular workforce development in anticipation of the new plant to house 4,000 workers. Inspire now operates 9,234 home sites in 12 states. Neither the identity of the seller nor the purchase price of Quail Ridge was disclosed.
