IndyStar reports new home building permits for October in Indianapolis increased 16 percent over last October, according to the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis (BAGI). Of the 269 permits issued in this nine-county area, 103 were for Hamilton County, an upscale suburban area just north of the city, which registered a 56 percent uptick from a year ago. However, new home building permits for this year remain two percent below the same ten month period last year.
