Dow Snaps Back, UMH Spikes, Tracked Housing Mixed

CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 178.08 points during the day, following two days of decline, gaining 1.53 percent to close at 11,836.04. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite Value gained 4.75 percent, over three times more than the Dow, to close at 834.20. Tracked housing stocks closed mixed. Affiliated Managers Group 91.62 +3.13 (+3.54%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance and other MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 116,479 +2,830.00 (+2.49%). Cavco Industries 45.00 +2.30 (+5.39%). Champion, Deer Valley, Liberty, Patrick Industries, and Palm Harbor were all unchanged. Drew Industries 22.91 -0.82 (-3.46%). Equity Lifestyle Properties 66.45 +1.36 (+2.09%). Nobility Homes 5.72 -0.04 (-0.69%). Skyline Corporation 6.71 +0.36 (+5.67%). Sun Communities 37.97 +1.03 (+2.79%). Third Avenue Value Fund (11-1) 42.79 -1.29 (-2.93%). UMH Properties 10.02 +0.82 (+8.91%). Universal Forest Products, Inc. 26.21 +0.36 (+1.39%).
