Dow Posts Modest Gain; Patrick Industries Drops 3.39%

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose initially following Fed Head Janet Yellen’s remarks to the Senate, but settled back to a modest gain of 32.43 points, +0.20 percent in today’s trading to close at 16,550.97. The tech-heavy Nasdaq slipped -16.17 points, -0.40 percent, to end the day at 4,051.50, while CNNMoney tells MHProNews the S&P edged down -2.58 points, -0.14 percent, to close at 1,875.63. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite fell -1.32 percent, to finish at 699.8. Most tracked housing stocks closed down or even in today’s trading, although Third Avenue Value Fund (May 7) nudged up the most of stocks we follow, +0.58 percent, +0.34 points to close at 58.57, while Patrick Industries dropped the most of tracked stocks, falling -3.39 percent, -1.37 points, to close at 39.03.
