Dow Nudges Up; Housing Stocks Mixed

Gains in global markets, and optimism about corporate reports and the Euro debt crisis helped push the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 67.44 points, +0.54 percent, to end the day at 12,460.13, according to CNNMoney. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite gained +0.92 percent to close at 753.30. Tracked housing stocks closed mixed, but Skyline Corp. managed a 4.05% gain, +0.19, to close at 4.88. (+4.05%). Nobility Homes lost the most of our tracked stocks, dropping 4.85%, -0.27, to close at 5.30. Affiliated Managers Group 102.48 +2.49 (+2.49%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 115,900 +1,400.00 (+1.22%). Cavco Industries 40.16 +0.36 (+0.90%). Champion, Deer Valley, Liberty Homes and Palm Harbor Homes all remained unchanged. Drew Industries 25.12 +0.22 (+0.88%). Patrick Industries 4.60 -0.0999 (-2.13%). Sun Communities 36.16 -1.55 (-4.11%), but in after hours trading fell to 35.95. Third Avenue Value Fund (1-09) 40.66 +0.13 (+0.32%). UMH Properties 9.48 -0.04 (-0.42%). Universal Forest Products, Inc. 32.40 +1.26 (+4.38%), but in after hours trading fell to 32.15 +1.01 (+3.61%).
