Dow Jones Moves Beyond 17,000; S&P Nears 2,000 Mark

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finally crossed the 17,000 mark, as it moved up +92.02 points in today’s short day of trading, +0.54 percent, to end at 17,068.26 in advance of the July 4 holiday. As CNNMoney informs MHProNews, the Nasdaq gained +28.2 points, +0.63 percent, to close at 4,485.93, while the S&P edged up +10.82 points, +0.55 percent, to end the day at 1,985.44. The Nasdaq gained the most, +1.14 percent, +50.47 points, to close at 4,458.65. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite edged up +0.06 percent to close at 1,021.9. Stocks we cover closed mostly mixed or even, with Affiliated Managers Group advancing the most, +1.40 percent, +2.89 points, to close at 208.66. Equity Lifestyle Properties slipped more than other stocks we track, -0.93 percent, -0.41 points, to close at 43.77. Cavco Industries 86.79 +0.30 (+0.35%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 193,600 +2,101.00 (+1.10%). Deer Valley Corp. remained at 0.66. Drew Industries, Inc. 50.80 +0.23 (+0.45%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 1.50. Louisiana Pacific Industries 15.18 -0.11 (-0.72%).
