Dow Hits New Record High; Tracked Housing Stocks Mostly Gain

The Dow hit a new high today at 14,286.37, topping the intraday and closing records set in 2007.CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up, gaining +0.80 percent, +113.28 points, to close at a record high of 14,241.10, having gained nine percent since the beginning of the year. The Nasdaq moved up also, +1.32 percent, +42.10 points, to close at 3,224.13, while the S&P advanced +0.96 percent, +14.59 points, to end the day at 1,539.79. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite moved up +0.44 percent to close at 1459.3. Most housing stocks we track closed up, with not a lot of change, or even. Affiliated Managers Group gained the most of tracked stocks, advancing +1.44 percent, +2.12, to end the day at 149.15.
