Deer Valley Leaps Up, Skyline Skids, Housing Composite Bests Dow

Reports of improvement in U.S. manufacturing sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average to its highest point in four years, gaining half a percentage point, +65.69 points, to close at 13,279.32. CNNMoney tells MHProNews.com the Nasdaq moved up 0.13 percent to close at 3050.44, while the S&P also moved up, +0.57 percent to 1397.91. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite rose +2.97 percent to close at 1112.10. Housing stocks we track closed mixed. Deer Valley gained the most of tracked stocks, spiking 56.52 percent, +0.26, to end the trading day at 0.72. Skyline Corp. slid the most, -5.10 percent, -0.28, to close at 5.21. Affiliated Managers Group 112.77 -0.85 (-0.75%). Cavco 51.75 +0.15 (+0.30). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 122,150 +1,350.00 (+1.12%).
