Brian Cooney steps down as MHI Senior Vice-president of Government Affairs

After 11½ years of dedication and service to the manufactured housing industry, MHI’s very own senior vice-president of government affairs Brian Cooney has accepted an offer to become a senior government affairs specialist at the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA).

Brian has been invaluable to MHI in his time here, and we owe a great deal of gratitude to Brian for his years of service as we wish him well in his new endeavor. His commitment to the industry, his professionalism, and his excellence in what he does have all contributed to ensuring that our industry has a strong voice and is well represented here in Washington, DC. On a personal note- Brian has been a good friend and colleague to us all- and he will be missed.

This is a terrific opportunity for Brian to advance his professional career and we know he will be very successful in his new position.

Brian’s last day at MHI will be April 16th. The MHI government affairs staff of Rae Ann Bevington and Lois Starkey – as well as myself – will be working to ensure a seamless transition of his duties and responsibilities. This will not interrupt the various legislative initiatives we have going, including the SAFE Act. We have already begun the process of filling the position, and will keep you all updated on progress.

If you have any questions, please contact me, and please join me in wishing Brian the best.
