Dow Has Best Day in a Month

CNNMoney tells MHProNews.com fear of the European debt crisis took a back seat today as the Dow Jones Industrial Average bolted to just under 195 points, +1.50 percent, to end day at 13,115.54. The Nasdaq gained even more, 1.85 percent to close at 3042.82, while the S&P also gained, +1.55 percent, to 1390.78. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite rose +0.41 percent to close at 1058.10. Housing stocks we track mostly closed up. Nobility Homes gained the most of tracked stocks, moving up +7.50% percent, +0.54, to end the trading day at 7.74. Skyline Corp. fell the most of stocks we track, falling -3.68 percent, -0.24, to close at 6.28. Affiliated Managers Group 110.51 +2.40 (+2.22%). Cavco 47.19 +0.32 (+0.68%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 121,090 +1,565.00 (+1.31%). Champion, Liberty Homes, Deer Valley and Palm Harbor all remained unchanged. Drew Industries 27.68 +0.42 (+1.54%). Equity Lifestyle Properties 67.31 -0.71 (-1.08%). Louisiana Pacific Corp. 8.37 +0.07 (+0.84%). Patrick Industries 8.45 -0.11 (-1.29%). Sun Communities 41.86 -0.04 (-0.10%). Third Avenue Value Fund (4-16) 45.03 +0.26 (+0.58%).
