Advfn tells MHProNews.com Universal Forest Products, Inc. (UFPI) reports its first quarter 2012 sales have increased 18 percent and its earning were up $7.8 million over Q1 2011. Its manufactured housing division posted gross sales of $63 million for the quarter, a 34 percent increase over same period 2011. UFPI provides wood and wood-alternate products to the MH industry. Net profit was $4.2 million on net sales of $437.1 million for the quarter, or $0.21 per diluted share as opposed to minus -$0.19 per diluted share for Q1 2011.
