Following up on an article we published here May 20, the Tuscaloosa News says eight Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) homes have been delivered to Tuscaloosa County following the devastating tornadoes of April 27, and are being sited at a community outside the city limits. Over 250 FEMA homes have been approved by FEMA for use in the state, and more may be coming to Tuscaloosa County if needed. Tim Tyson, FEMA spokesman, said the first priority is to find rental housing for the victims of the twisters. “Manufactured housing is the last resort, but, for some, it’s the only option,” he said.

Why should manufactured housing be a last resort home for anybody.u00a0 We own a manufactured housing community and have people that have lived their over 35 years and they love their homes.u00a0 We continue to sell homes as of this day and the homes we sell sell are built great, are energy efficient and attract home buyers from all economic classes.
