Texas Community Worries about Impact of Property Values

From the Lone Star State, the Courier of Montgomery County reports that a plan to build a manufactured home subdivision next to their neighborhood, the residents of Conroe’s Lincoln Heights went before the City Council seeking a meeting with city officials and developer Leo Hewett. The homeowners have expressed concern that the adjoining neighborhood might devalue their homes and create a spike in crime. Several of the Lincoln Heights’ newer property owners claim the developer started up the manufactured home community after he allegedly told prospective buyers he would continue building traditional homes regardless of the housing market.
