South Dakota City Approves MH Ordinances

The Rapid City Journal reports that the Legal and Finance Committee on Wednesday approved first reading of the new manufactured home community ordinances with a handful of changes. Those changes include allowing additions to manufactured homes with a city permit. Any addition must meet the manufacturer’s guidelines or be designed by a professional engineer or architect. The homes are also required to meet the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards effective June 15, 1976.
