Small Neighborhoods Based on MHCs

SustainableBusinessOregon reports Ideabox is developing a five-home neighborhood community based on the small homesite idea of manufactured housing communities. Founder and CEO Jim Russell says, “The goal was to take tiny lots and see what we can do with them. We’re trying to create a small, livable community. We wanted to use as much of the space as possible for as many purposes as possible.” Selling for $90k to $120k, the homes are energy efficient and built with green materials, and each space includes a carport and a deck. Located in Eugene, Oregon, the prefabricated Cottages@Camelot are built to order.
