Sixteen Manufactured Homes Land in Colorado

Updating a story MHProNews last published Oct. 3 regarding Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) efforts to find housing for Colorado’s September flood victims, reports from Henderson, CO the first 16 of 50 or more manufactured homes have arrived at a parking lot behind a flea market north of Denver. Arranged in one, two and three-bedroom models, each unit is completely furnished and will be sited in existing manufactured housing communities in Boulder and Weld Counties for those who qualify. As in past disaster situations, occupants can remain rent free in the homes for up to 18 months. The first set of homes should be operational by the end of Nov., with an emphasis on those whose homes will not be habitable before winter weather sets in.
