Schools’ Emergency Shelter Plan Includes Residents of Pre-HUD Code Homes

The Toledo Blade says Springfield Township officials have established a partnership program with two area schools that will provide shelter to residents of five nearby communities of  pre-HUD Code (mobile) homes.  Residents of Royal Village would go to Dorr Elementary School, and Woodside Terrace residents would be sheltered at Springfield Middle/Holland Elementary School.  A brochure to be distributed lists senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and residents of manufactured housing as at risk during times of possible tornadic weather.  It is recommended residents create safety plans and have emergency bags already packed.
