According to the report, proponents said rezoning Stone Meadows Mobile Home Park from B-3 (highway business) to R-6 (manufactured home district) would have allowed developer USA Wealth Partners to make improvements and bring the community into compliance with building codes and bring additional homes to reach an original capacity of 284 units. Zoning Board Chairman Mike Campbell said in the report the county’s comprehensive plan designates the area as low-density. “A mobile home park is high-density,” Campbell told the reporter. The  community has been operating since 1966. Also according to the report, others at the meeting stated the non-compliant use was accidental. At one point B-3 had been amended to exclude mobile homes.
