North Dakota Planning Commission Refuses to Rule on Proposed MHC

The Lincoln, North Dakota Planning and Zoning Commission has denied a request by Van Zeilstra of VCZ to develop a 200 home site manufactured housing community on the west side of town, according to bismarcktribune.com. Residents raised concerns about the added traffic, flooding and values of current nearby homes. MHProNews has learned the commission sent the issue on to the Lincoln City Council without a recommendation, an uncommon move, according to Mayor Bob Johnston. The civil engineer for the project says houses in Lincoln run from $225,000 to $250,000, whereas a new manufactured home sells for $125,000. ##
