Multi-section Homes Out Perform Single Section in Texas

texas_mha_Aug_2015_MH_sales_new_used_single_multiRob Ripperda of the Texas Manufactured Housing Association (TMHA) tells MHProNews stats for August 2015 indicate new manufactured home titles rose 4.44 percent over last August, and increased 1.69 percent over July, 2015, with multi-section home sales outpacing single section homes.

On the year, multi-section home sales are up 7.18 percent while single section homes dropped -2.38 percent. Mr. Ripperda mentions that at a recent meeting he spoke with industry members who said multiple plants are expanding their manufacturing capabilities. He also stated initial results for September indicate new titles were up over September of 2014, and that shipments in Sept. outpaced August.

TMHA allows 75 days after the end of the month for statistics to clear retailer records and processing. Texas routinely receives more shipments of new manufactured homes than any other state, far above Louisiana, which is in second place. ##
