Morgan Management Founder Honored

According to the brightonpittsfordpost, Robert Morgan, founder and CEO of Rochester, NY-based Morgan Management has been named recipient of the 2013 Herbert W. Vanden Brul Entrepreneurial Award by the RIT Saunders College of Business. Honored for 30+ years of successful business in Rochester, the company Morgan founded now employs 950 people through 77 offices that oversee 20,000 units of property, including multifamily and manufactured housing as well as RV and commercial real estate. As MHProNews reported Feb. 11, 2013, the town of Williamstown, Mass. intends to buy Spruces Mobile Home Park from Morgan if a Hazard Mitigation Grant comes through, and close the community because of recurrent flooding. Yesterday (April 4, 2013), we posted a story about the home owners of Wheel Estates in North Adams, Mass. that just received approval for a loan through ROC USA to buy their own community from Morgan. He founded his business in 1973, but in 1991, he was shot in the back during a robbery at his parents’ store, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
