Modular Homes going up in Canada

NorthernOntarioBusiness reports Wincrief Modular Homes in Kenora, Ontario, Canada is a partnership between Moncrief Construction Ltd. and Wabassemooong (Whitedog) Independent Nation, utilizing a First Nation workforce. Wincrief began slowly nearly two years ago and has now sold 28 homes, some of them locally, and is now building duplexes for a gold mine operation in Red Lake. Wincrief Homes is the anchor tenant of a plant formerly occupied by the Abitibi pulp and paper mill. In another part of the building, Wincrief Forestry Products has begun a utility pole-peeling operation with $700,000 support funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and the Forest Sector Prosperity Fund. As MHProNews has discovered, part of this funding will also benefit Wincrief Modular Homes.
