Modular Classrooms Mount in Ohio School District

Enrollment at the Southwest Licking (SWL) schools in Pataskala, Ohio, just east of Columbus, has grown from 3,490 in 2002 to over 3,900 during the most recent school year, and the district has not added any buildings, leading Superintendent Robert Jennell to state the school board needs to acquire another modular classroom. Currently, there are two modular units at Etna Elementary that house five classrooms, and Kirkersville Elementary has two modular exterior buildings with four classrooms, according to newarkadvocate.com. In anticipation of another possible surge in kindergarten enrollment this coming fall, MHProNews has learned district officials are considering purchasing another two classroom modular unit for Kirkersville. ##
