Mississippi Manufactured Housing Show Site Flooded

The site near the Tunica Manufactured Housing Show in Tunica, Mississippi, has been flooded by the recent rising tide of the Mississippi River and its tributaries.  Yahoo! News shows pictures of the flood waters around the casinos, and notes that the state earns $10 million a month in taxes from the casinos, and that the 9,700 employees have been idled.  A flooded land lease community (LLC) shown in an aerial photograph is described as a residential area.  Governor Haley Barbour said there is no government program to assist with the evacuation of thousands of people, and that people need to help each other.  MHMSM.com applauds the reporter for using correct terminology.
