MHI Urges Senators to Co-sponsor the Advanced Energy Tax Incentives Act of 2010 (S. 3935)

MHI seeks to ensure that legislation extending and expanding tax credits available for the production of Energy Star-qualified manufactured and modular homes (also known as “45L”) is included in any tax package considered and enacted by Congress when they return next week. This is an important tax credit for the industry and our customers.

In September, Sens. Bingaman (D-NM) and Snowe (R-ME) introduced the Advanced Energy Tax Incentives Act of 2010 (S. 3935). Among other things, the measure would extend and increase the tax credit available for the construction of Energy Star manufactured and modular homes.

MHI members are urged to contact members of the Senate Finance Committee and ask them to co-sponsor S. 3935. For your convenience, a list of Senate Finance Committee members can be found by clicking here – a draft letter by clicking here.
