Part of our Future for Factory Built Housing

Part of our Future for Factory Built Housing

Just as businesses need to communicate with past, present and potential clients, so too industries need to do the same. Communications has always been, is now and will always be part of the success – or failure – for any endeavor, personal or professional. So it self-evident that a key part of the future for factory built housing is going to be based on Communications.

Practical Politics: Pickup the Phone!

Practical Politics: Pickup the Phone!

Last week, Don Westphal sent us an Industry Voices Guest Blog post on the topic of HR 5019. The bill past the House and is now headed on to the Senate for action.

I personally picked up the phone and my watch. It took me a total of 3 minutes to call the Capitol Switchboard’s number at (202) 224-3121, get the phone number to my representative here in IL, then call his office’s number and ask for my congressman to vote for HR 5019. They took my name and address. Painless! No apathy! No fear!

All Good Things

All Good Things
They say that “All good things must come to an end.” It is never fun for me to talk about endings. When the Manufactured Home Merchandiser Magazine closed last summer, it was painful…

Amazingly Allen, The IMHA and the Chairman’s Reception

Amazingly Allen, The IMHA and the Chairman’s Reception

It is my hope this upcoming weekend to carve out enough time to do justice to Bob Thieman and all who made Lobby day at the IMHA annual meeting such a fine function. It is also my intent to share some aspects of the Chairman’s Reception at the IMHA last night – or at least those parts of it that event which can be publicly shared…

…for example, I could tell you that I must vow to never, ever again to be without my ‘good camera’ close at hand. There were too many Kodak moments – okay, my current preferred camera of choice is a Sony – where words alone will not do justice, and where my cell phone’s camera won’t produce the quality or clarity that was needed!

For example, it was quite impressive to see a room full of adults be dazzled as George Allen performed feats of legerdemain before our very eyes

The Golden Egg

The Golden Egg

Marketing is all about:

* Standing out from the crowd,
* Setting yourself apart from the rest,
* Attracting positive attention and
* Bringing a stream of good prospects to your sales professional(s).

Turning Lemons into Lemonade

Turning Lemons into Lemonade
by Tony Kovach

On of my favorite Zig Ziglar quotes is this:

“When life hands you lemons, make Lemonade.”

If every time a business encountered a problem or situation, it approached that challenge with a solution orientation, how much further ahead would that business be? If we personally took those sour lemon situations and made them into lemonade, how much further ahead would you be or I be?
