Manufactured Housing Production Up Again In July 2015

Washington, D.C., September 3, 2015 – The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports that according to official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), manufactured housing industry production rose again in July 2015. Just-released statistics indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 6,085 homes in July 2015, a 7.2% increase over the 5,675 HUD Code homes produced during July 2014. Cumulative industry production for 2015 now totals 39,404 homes, an 8.4% increase over the 36,350 HUD Code homes produced over the same period in 2014.     

A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states from the beginning of the industry production rebound in August 2011 through July 2015 — with cumulative, monthly, current year-to-date (2015) and prior year-to-date (2014) shipments per category as indicated — are:
