Manufactured Housing Part of Family Business

The Dickinson Press in Dickinson, North Dakota, reports two brothers have combined Custom Touch Homes manufactured housing and Rosebud Manufacturing interior wood furnishings under one roof into Dakota Custom Cabinets and Homes LLC.  Tim Kern manages Custom Touch and says the “stick-built offsite” homes are comparable to site-built in terms of quality. “It’s a web tress system just like if you were stick-building in your own backyard,” Tim Kern said.  The homes can be up to 2,520 square feet, with many different options to choose from, including a basement with no load-bearing walls.  He says the 50,000 square foot facility will be doubling in size the end of July.   The manufactured homes are also Energy Star rated.  Brother Wayne Kern runs Rosebud, building beds, kitchens, cabinets, bars and other custom furnishings to order.
