Manufactured Homes Provide Refuge for Displaced Flood Victims

Updating a story we posted Sept. 26, 2013 regarding temporary manufactured housing for victims of the flooding in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in June, 2013, people with special needs or disabilities will begin moving in to the homes first. The work camp-like site is being established in the Great Plains Industrial Park in Calgary that will be home to 700, as globalnews.ca informs MHProNews. While the official move-in date begins Oct. 15, the first residents will be arriving today, Oct. 2, 2013. 1,300 refugees have already been settled in other manufactured homes outside Calgary.
