Manufactured Homes May Replace Aging Factory-builts

A project to bring more affordable housing to Spencer, Iowa is in the works at the Sioux River Estates manufactured housing community, according to spencerdailyreporter.com. Dave Jacobsen of Jacobsen Homes Corp. says the plan is to replace the aging factory-built homes with either manufactured or modular homes in the spring. MHProNews has learned the replacement homes would be 1,000 to 1,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths, and would cost $45,000 to $50,000 each. Spencer is in the northwest corner of the state.
